what i do
I research lost money that is being held by different courts around the country and then find the rightful owner. I specialize in researching amounts usually less than $2,000 because no one has any interest in finding the owners of such small amounts. When I find the rightful owners and am able to contact them I tell them what I have found and where it is. Once they choose to have me recover the money for them I split whatever I am able to recover from the court with them 50/50 minus expenses.
Why I am contacting you and what do I want?
The reason I sent you a letter and am trying to contact you is simple. I believe I have found money that belongs to you and is being held by a court. Because of that, with your permission, I want to attempt to retrieve a portion of that money for you.
Why should you work with me?
The asset recovery industry standard is to offer people 25% of the money retrieved. I offer a 50/50 split minus expenses. I want to get you a larger percentage of your money back. Most recovery specialists do not research amounts less than $2,000 so, most likely, no one has ever contacted you about the money due you and because it’s a small amount, would not do the recovery for you.
IT’S EASY – When you choose to have me recover your funds, all you have to do is sign off on the agreement paperwork, mail it back to me and then, once I have retrieved the money, cash the check I send you.
IT’S CONVIENENT – You don’t have to do any of the hard work like dealing with the court and its requirement, filling out complicated forms or paying the upfront expenses. I take care of all that for you.
client infomation security
All of the client personal information I am required to keep is only recorded on paper and kept in locked file cabinets behind locked office doors. So unless someone physically broke into my office and then physically broke into the filing cabinets (getting past my guard dog (picture of Sandy)) and then rifled through each individual file one by one, it’s almost impossible for thieves to steel any of your personal information. Once the information is no longer needed it is shredded and then burned. As you can tell; I take the job of keeping my clients information secure, seriously!
the process
Once you have decided to work with me the process is simple and quick. I send you a packet of agreement forms. Please read them carefully and completely so you will know what each one is about. There are three forms that will need to be signed and notarized and they all work together in helping retrieve the money from the court.
The first form is the Buyout Agreement…
This is the contract where I buy out your interest in the money that is being held by the court. As you read through it you will see that I am guaranteeing a 25% split of the money recovered. That part is there to protect your interest because if I am unable to get the full amount of money from the court you are guaranteed a set minimum. What I am actually offering you is a 50/50 split of the money minus expenses but since we don’t know exactly how much money we can get back from the court or the total expenses it’s impossible to write down an exact amount.
The second form is the Assignment of Property…
This form is where you assign your interest in the money held by the court over to me. This gives me the power to deal directly with the court when attempting to retrieve the money.
The third form is the Power of Attorney…
This form we sometimes don’t have to use but it’s better to have it than not. This allows me to cash the check we get from the court and then send your part of the money on to you.
All you will have to do is sign and get these three forms notarized and then return them to me in the pre-paid return envelope that will be included in the packet.
(Pro-Tip- Your bank will usually notarize forms for free)
Once I get the paperwork back I will send you $10 to make it legal and to compensate you for the time it took to get everything notarized.
Then I take care of everything from there on out…
I petition the court; petition the trustees, pay the filing fees, pay court fees, pay transfer fees and ‘bla bla bla’ (it takes a lot of work!). In about eight weeks (each court is different but they all take their ‘sweet time’)
I get the funds which I split out and send you your part. Then all you have to do is cash the check! During this time I will call or email you periodically with updates.
